Why FILM
Film photography captures the timeless beauty of moments in a way that’s both nostalgic and authentic. Unlike digital cameras, which instantly process and store images, film relies on light to create a physical imprint on the negative. This slower, more deliberate process results in images with a natural grain and unique tones that can’t be replicated digitally. Each shot feels more intentional, and the anticipation of waiting to see how the photos develop adds an element of excitement. The colours, contrasts, and textures of film photos often have a depth and warmth that digital images struggle to match, offering a rich and organic feel. While digital photography is sharp and precise, film has an artistic quality, with its imperfections giving it character and soul. It’s this analog charm that makes film photography so special, creating images that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Handcrafted EDITS
We hand-scan all our film negatives ourselves to ensure each photo gets the attention it deserves. Automated adjustments made by large industrial scanners in minilabs can never fully capture the essence of each shot. Every photo is taken under different lighting conditions, so each one requires a unique approach to editing. By scanning the negatives using a camera with a specialised macro lens and further editing them just like our digital photographs in Lightroom and Photoshop, we make sure the final result reflects the true atmosphere and emotions captured in every moment. This process allows our film photos to look their absolute best in terms of colour accuracy and fidelity.

Legendary CAMERAS
We use some of the finest professional film cameras ever made, including the latest models of Canon EOS cameras from 2000 to 2004. These cameras represent the peak of analog photography technology, delivering unmatched quality and reliability. Designed for professionals, they offer the best features ever developed for film photography while being incredibly dependable—something that’s absolutely crucial in wedding photography. Alongside these advanced cameras, we also enjoy shooting with vintage point-and-shoots like the Nikon L35, and the fully manual Zenit-E SLR from 1976. These classic cameras help us create even more nostalgic, retro-inspired photos, adding a unique charm to our work.
